One of the big hits of the CES was Wherify Wireless, which won the coveted Consumer Electronics Association's 2002 Best of Innovations award in the Personal Electronics category for its GPS Personal Locator for Children. The wrist-worn locator offers parents peace of mind, knowing they can locate their children, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Parents can use the internet or any phone to quickly identify their children's location within several feet in about 60 seconds. In the event of an emergency, either the child or parent can request an emergency 911 response and local police will be dispatched. Australian distribution of the product is on the horizon. Contact eroth@wherify.com or visit the company's web site at www.wherifywireless.com.
