Tummy Shield seat belt keeps mother and baby safe
Image Gallery (3 images)
According to a recent study by the University of Michigan, if all pregnant women wore a car seatbelt, approximately 200 fetuses could be saved each year and an estimated 370 fetuses die as a result of car crashes each year in the United States. However, stretching a seat belt across a growing abdomen is not the easiest job, nor is the belt comfortable across your tummy. A team of Australian engineers has come up with a novel seat belt especially for pregnant women. Unlike traditional seat belts which fit across the abdomen, the Tummy Shield is designed to be worn around the thighs, therefore protecting the abdomen from trauma resulting from a car collision. February 11, 2008 The American Pregnancy Organization recommends that mothers-to- be pay close attention to the inter-uterine movements, rolls and kicks of their unborn child, as this is a good indication that all is well with their baby. Jeckida encourages toilet training awareness early on
Image Gallery (3 images)
February 12, 2006 Here’s a potentially good idea - toilet training accessories designed to help create an early awareness of the toilet bowl, reduce anxiety, and make toilet training a fun and positive experience. Toilet Buddies is the first of a family of innovative products to help children transition from diapers to the toilet, by offering a solution to a problem parents have been coping with for generations: fear of the toilet bowl. According to manufacturers Jeckida, there is no point in toilet training children before they can control their bodily functions, but much of the delay in emotional readiness comes from the fear and anxiety that result from unfamiliarity with the toilet. While doctors agree that a child develops control of his or her bodily functions between 18 and 19 months of age, actual emotional readiness varies from child to child, with most showing interest between two and four years of age. Harness enables children to walk and balance earlier and safer
Image Gallery (8 images)
September 13, 2005 It doesn’t matter whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, because either way, you’re right. So goes the old axiom, and there’s never a more crystal clear demonstration of this than a child learning to walk. Tightrope walkers, rock climbers and gymnasts practice with safety harnesses, so why not a safety harness for children learning to walk. The pain of back surgery gave former plumber, Jeff Zinger, the impetus to design a tool to safely lift, hold, balance and provide self confidence to his 10-month old daughter as she learned to walk. He made it, and on the first family outing with the new device, a baby expo in Anaheim the couple were mobbed by people wanting one – so great was the crowd that formed around them, they were asked to leave. The overwhelming public response on that day, turned the home-made one-off into the first prototype of a new product and perhaps even product category. The Walk-o-long is now being used to assist children to climb stairs, play and even ice-skate safer and earlier than before. Read More

A flush-mount installation places the state-of-the-art high-quality color camera in the center of the vehicle's roof interior/headliner for a streamlined, OEM-like appearance. The camera plugs directly into the mirror for easy driver viewing. A 3.5" LCD color display is included that is built into the rearview mirror to allow quick driver monitoring of children. Read More
